PARTNER: ACCIDENT & INJURY
Nicholas Dowding has been with Gardner Iliff & Dowding since 1985. He was born in Cannock and still lives here. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1987, becoming a partner in 1990 and is the son of the former Partner of the firm James Dowding. Nic is a member of The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers at Senior Litigator Level and was responsible for the firm gaining APIL Corporate Accreditation. He deals with a range of personal injury cases, including road traffic accidents, employers’ liability, product liability and public liability claims. Nic also deals with medical negligence claims. His aim is to seek justice for his clients who, through no fault of their own, have sustained an injury. He is mindful of the stress and disruption such injuries can have on his clients, and therefore aims to deal with such claims in a sympathetic manner and without delay.
PARTNER: WILLS, TRUSTS & PROBATE
Joanne has been a qualified Solicitor since 2002. After four years in practice in Gloucester and the Cotswolds, she joined the firm in 2006, becoming a partner in 2017. Joanne specialises in Wills, Inheritance Tax, Asset Preservation, Administration of Estates, Lasting Powers of Attorney and applications to the Court of Protection, also acting as a professional Attorney and Deputy for clients. Joanne is aware of the upset and worry such matters often cause clients and with that in mind, works with clients to take the burden from them and help them through the process in a sympathetic and professional manner.
Carolyn has over 12 years’ experience dealing with Claimant personal injury matters and pursues a wide variety of claims, including accidents at work, public/occupiers liability and road traffic accidents. She is a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). Carolyn deals with both physical and psychological injuries, ranging from straightforward injuries and accidents circumstances, to more complex issues.
WILLS, TRUSTS & PROBATE
Maxine qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and worked at a large firm in Wolverhampton for a number of years until joining GID in January 2014. Maxine specialises in the preparation of Wills, applications for Probate, Administration of Estates, Asset Preservation, Lasting Powers of Attorney and advising and assisting with Court of Protection matters. Maxine is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), which is a worldwide professional association that sets professional standards for those advising families on Wills, Trust and Estate Administration matters.
HEAD OF RESIDENTIAL CONVEYANCING
Victoria joined the firm in May 2018. She completed her training contract at a well-known East Midlands Firm and qualified as a solicitor in 2009. Victoria specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity. She also has a good local knowledge as she lives locally with her young family. In what spare time Victoria has, she enjoys visiting local attractions and family days out.
CHARTERED LEGAL EXECUTIVE:
John qualified as Fellow of The Institute of Legal Executives in 1983. He has worked in private practice in Stafford for over 35 years and specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing. John has worked for many years as a Conveyancing Legal Executive in Stafford prior to joining the Firm in 2008.
ASSOCIATE LEGAL EXECUTIVE:
Elaine has experience of dealing with all aspects of personal injury claims, including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, public liability claims such as trips and slips, and occupiers liability claims such as accidents in supermarkets. She has helped to bring multimillion-pound claims to a successful conclusion and has experience and knowledge of brain injury claims and medical negligence claims.
Daniel joined the firm in November 2018, having previously worked in the residential conveyancing sector for the last three years and gaining experience in all aspects of residential property transactions. Daniel's approachable and professional work ethic ensures that his clients' moving experiences are as smooth and quick as possible. Daniel has a First Class Honours Degree in Popular Music with Music Technology and continues his interest in music as a hobby along with photography.
Jenny joined the practice in 2008, having worked for many years in business and the voluntary sector in the local area. She is a qualified and active member of the Institute of Legal Finance and Management. In her spare time Jenny is a keen sportswoman, being part of a local badminton team, who also enjoys walking, family history and classical music.
CHARTERED LEGAL EXECUTIVE:
Gretel is a Chartered Legal Executive. She has recently joined the firm and specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing such as freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, new build plots and transfers of equity. She lives locally in Norton Canes and has a good local knowledge of the area and the estate agents. In her spare time she enjoys practising hot yoga and Brazilian jujitsu with her partner Jon. She also has a keen interest in holistic health and mindset coaching and enjoys learning new tools to help her self-development as a person and as a Lawyer.
